Hi there, Mini owners. Today, on your 2019 Mini Cooper S, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Demco's supplemental braking system. And this is what our braking system looks like when it's installed. With this system, it's permanently installed on the vehicle, and you can hide it wherever you want. We actually have the main operating unit of our system hidden behind the fascia here, so you can't even tell that it's there. It looks fairly similar to just a stock vehicle at this point 'cause all the components are hidden. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2016 Mini Countryman, you're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the SMI Stay and Play DUO Supplemental Braking System, part number SM99251. One thing I want you to keep in mind is that the Stay and Play DUO Braking System is for RVs with electrical brakes. If your RV has air brakes on it, I would recommend going with the Air Force One. Now as far as the installation goes on this unit, it is a fairly straightforward installation. The directions are very well written and are very easy to follow. This system will take a couple of hours to put in, and can be done in your garage with the vehicle on the floor.We have the Stay and Play DUO installed on this Mini Cooper. more

In our Mini Cooper we have the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO braking system. What that's going to do for you, it's going to activate the brakes in your vehicle through your wire connection from your RV. You would use the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO if your RV does not have air brakes. It's going to run directly through your wiring. Here we're going to have the breakaway switch. more

Blue Ox Patriot Proportional Braking System Installation - 2004 Mini Cooper- Video
Alright today on this 2004 Mini Cooper were going to install Part #BRK2012 Blue Ox. This is the Patriot Radio Frequency Portable Braking System.First off to begin our install we are going to have to run a cable from the inside of the vehicle to the outside of the vehicle. This will be for the break-away switch. Now the break-away switch itself was previously installed on the vehicle at the same time when the base plate was installed. So we dont have to worry about that part, well go ahead and start running our wire. Now there is a small opening in the bumper that we will use to route our wire. more
